I love playing whack-a-mole at the carnival. So I really cracked up when I found this video on YouTube. I love how people can demonstrate that they have such creative senses of humor!

I’ve never seen a tortoise move so fast as in the video. I’m amazed that this tortoise is given run of the house, and I’m amazed that it is so aggressive!

I just found this video of a hummingbird at a feeder in slow motion. As I mentioned earlier, my wife and I really enjoy watching the birds, so I found this video very fascinating!

We like hummingbirds

My wife and I enjoy watching the hummingbirds come to the feeder that we have hanging just inches away from our kitchen window. I don’t know what the life expectancy of a hummingbird is, but it seems to me that there is a male hummingbird that has come to our window for several seasons. They migrate away during the winter and in the spring before we put the feeder out a male starts tapping at the window, to let us know that they are back and ready to be fed again. I have to wonder if it is the same male.

Surrounded by Cats and One Dog

Time for the annual checkup and shots for my best dog, Buck. So we headed to the vet’s office and sat in a little waiting room crowded with other people and their pets. He’s a great vet, so I don’t mind waiting 15-20 minutes to see him if he has an emergency come in the door before I get there.

It was a big day for cats at the vet. Everyone who came in the door was carrying a little gray caged carrier with a cat in it, except for one lady who came in with a female Corgi. That was a cute dog, and since it was a female, Buck decided to be friends with her.
