The RealReal’s New 12,000 Square-Feet In Los Angeles

Founded in 2011 by Julie Wainwright, The RealReal is the leading luxury resale business, based out of San Francisco. They recently raised $115 million of private equity capital with a total of $288 million raised since its inception. In July 2018, they opened their much-awaited store in Los Angeles.

They showcase designer apparel along with accessories for women, men, and kids and recently they decided to increase the range and diversity of their products by including furniture, pottery, and art decorating. They have a collection of premier beauty products from brands like Kahina and Fiore. A new line of The RealReal T-shirts, water bottles and caps have been made available in the 12,000 square feet West Hollywood store. The visitors can rejuvenate themselves by availing the services of a café that serves pure coffee, sandwiches, and pastries. Just overlooking the watch section of the store, there is an in-house bar for people looking forward to a relaxing and a jolly time.

There is a 1,500-square-foot of space dedicated for the showcasing of the largest collection of Hermes Handbags in the whole of Los Angeles. A huge space of 5,500-square-foot has been dedicated to men’s apparel and accessories. They have an ecstatic collection of sneaker and watches. Their amazing collection of Hermes briefcases and Tom Ford suiting, L.A brands like Chrome Hearts and 424 and lastly a ‘future surf’ section portraying pieces of J.W. Anderson and Valentino.

With tough competitors in the market, The RealReal stands out from the rest when considering two important factors. Their connection with Hollywood Stars and their efforts on appraisals, authentication, acquisition of every item within their reach.

They currently have two major stores along with seven consignment offices. Appraisals and Authentications are done free of charge at any company store, where drop-off of items is an option or a dedicated team approaches the customer for free pickups with prior appointment.

The company’s vision is about increasing the product lifecycle. Irrespective of the product being brought from their store, they promise to help the customers take proper care of the items and hope for consignment with them.
