Just because you were born an artist doesn’t mean that you can’t hone your skills. The Academy of Art University is the perfect balance of learning and application. A recent article by the Huffington Post discusses the various artists who have flourished at the Academy.
The artists hail from Maine, all the way to China. They’re from various different backgrounds, but all of them share an all consuming passion for fashion. This drive and ambition found a perfect home at the Academy. The artists included those who are at the Bachelor’s and Master’s levels. Eden Slezin from California was inspired by his own experiences, while Hailun Zhou was inspired by the scenery and culture of China. These shining stars are nothing new for the University, as they are renowned for their prowess in cultivating the individual talent and skills of each and every artist.
About the Academy:
The Academy of Art University (https://bigfuture.collegeboard.org/college-university-search/academy-of-art-university) is located in San Francisco. Like many art institutions, it is for-profit. The University has come a long way from it’s humble roots. Once the dreamchild of Richard S. Stephens, an editor, the institution is now accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges.
The University has programs at the Associate’s, Bachelor’s and Master’s levels. Some of the twenty five subjects are offered online. You can find them at the NY Fashion Week every year, twice a year.
Unlike other art schools, this University pays attention to athletics. The Urban Knights have most recently enjoyed the success of five All-Americans in their outdoor track and field program. In fact, Mobolade Ajomale, an alumni, was an Olympic Sprinter.
The Academy is home to a world famous automobile museum. Vintage cars, some of the most rare in the world, line the museum walls.
