Civil rights, human rights and migrant rights’ Groups

In the world we are living in, human rights are essential for every human being. There are the standards by which everyone is required to abide with. Human rights are supposed to make every human being equal. They reinstate that no person has a higher stake in this world than the other.

The world is supposed to be just and no one should look at the other through the lenses of origin, tribe, race, and religion or any other factor. Wherever one is at, human rights should apply indiscriminately. Human rights were passed under a human rights charter of the United Nations which made them universal.

The Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights (CHIRLA)

This is a group based in the state of California. This group has been very dedicated to the rights of the immigrants in the state who have for a long time been subjected to bad laws that are meant to deprive them of their basics rights.

This state had at one point passed a law that demanded that undocumented workers be denied employment in the state. This was a direct violation of the human rights since once you deny one the right to access means of livelihood you putting the lives of the victim’s in danger. CHIRLA has been very vocal on the rights of migrants. They have been urging the state to embrace immigration, not as a crime but a chance for the people of diversified origins to meet up and interact. There are benefits of immigration that should be appreciated.

The Advocates for Human Rights

This is a global group that has been fighting for the rights of the people for a very long time. The group has representation from the grassroots level to the international level. For more than 30 years, this group has been very active in their activities.

At the center of their activities have been the rights of children, women, and immigrants. This group has been keen to ensure the universal rights as prescribed by the law are adhered to by all people.

Lacey & Larkin Frontera Fund

This is a group founded by journalist Michael Lacey and Jim Larkin. Lacey and Larkin are victims of human rights violation in the state of Arizona. As a step to ensuring that no other person is subjected to unfair treatment, they started this organization.

The fund group deals with financing the rights groups in the state. The intention is to make them remain active to stand up to the authorities in cases of human rights violations.
