Slo Mo

I just found this video of a hummingbird at a feeder in slow motion. As I mentioned earlier, my wife and I really enjoy watching the birds, so I found this video very fascinating!

Why Does A Golf Tourny Take So Long?

Guest written by our friend Sergio Chaney

As a wife, I often wondered how my husband would leave for a golf tournament early in the morning, and not return until the evening. That was until I played in my first tourney. My husband I were invited to play in a couples scramble a couple weeks ago. We left the house early in the morning, and headed out to the course. His tee time ended up being and hour before mine, so I had to wait with some people I knew, until it was my groups turn. As the day continued, I decided to have a couple drinks off the beverage cart. I noticed that things were moving slower, the further along the course we progressed, and that without even noticing I had quite a bit to drink. By the time we had finished, it was early evening, and I met my husband at the bar. I then realized how easy it was to blow a whole days time in a golf tournament, and was thankful we set our home security systems before we left!

We like hummingbirds

My wife and I enjoy watching the hummingbirds come to the feeder that we have hanging just inches away from our kitchen window. I don’t know what the life expectancy of a hummingbird is, but it seems to me that there is a male hummingbird that has come to our window for several seasons. They migrate away during the winter and in the spring before we put the feeder out a male starts tapping at the window, to let us know that they are back and ready to be fed again. I have to wonder if it is the same male.
