The possibility of getting a Math tutor – for my neice is very high. Last year she missed a lot of school due to illness and she missed a lot of classroom time. Sometimes you just can’t make up all that you missed by reading the textbook and taking tests. There is a definite advantage to having alive teacher available to answer questions and explain the subject thoroughly.
Her mom can help her solve math problems on her homework, but has she learned the subject matter? I don’t know about you, but reading a math textbook is boring, and I even like math.
I’ve heard her say that she hates math and doesn’t see why she needs to learn math. I jumped at the chance to show her how even a housewife needs to understand and use Equivalent Fractions in the kitchen. How are you going to double a cookie dough recipe at Christmas if you can’t make the correct adjustments to the measurements of each ingredient?
I’m really looking forward to the party we’re planning to have this Labor Day weekend. Over the past several months we’ve lined up a DJ and a professional belly dancer to entertain our guests, bought several canopy tents, new Barbecue tools and cleaned up and tuned up the propane grill that we bought last year.
My wife bought a new outdoor swing that has an awning over the top of it and cup holders in the arms. She’s been wanting one of those for a few years now, and was using the party as an excuse to buy it. I wasn’t very happy about it at the time, but it sure is more comfortable than the folding chairs we’ve been using the past few years.
Now the countdown begins. I’m looking forward to a great time!
My desktop PC quit working. No warning, no noise and no funny smell. It just didn’t turn on. So I popped off the case and took a look inside. I don’t know what I was looking for, but it seemed like the right thing to do.
So this is what the insides of a non working PC look like.
I’ve been going to the PP Business networking meetings Wednesday mornings for several months now, and although I haven’t seen an increase in my business, I’ve enjoyed learning about everyone else’s businesses while going there. One of the things that we do at the meetings is have a featured presenter talk about themselves and their own business.
Yesterday Tom was presenting about his Internet services business. He was talking about how he was going to be holding free classes for the members of our group so we could become more computer and Internet savvy. He plans to teach us topics such as web hosting, blogging, buying domains, managed hosting, keywords, colocation, tags, and marketing strategies geared towards the Internet. I think it’s a good way for Tom to promote his business, don’t you?
