New Year resolution

My wife has asked me what my New Year’s resolutions are going to be.  I don’t have any, do you?  I haven’t made any resolutions in years.  I don’t mean to sound vain and imply that I am so perfect that I can’t improve. …  I’m saying that I’ve never been able to keep a New Year’s resolution, so why bother with the facade of making them knowing full well that I won’t have the willpower to keep them?  I just keep on doing the best that I can, being the best I can be.  I don’t think it is fair for anyone to expect more of me than that!
