Entertaining

I have mixed emotions about entertaining at home.  On the one hand, if I entertain at home, I control the guest list!  On the other hand, dealing with party crashers is a drag.  I get to control the menu!  But then I have to provide the food, and the space to put it, and deal with all of the dirty dishes.  When the party is over, I don’t have to drive a long distance to get home – I AM home!  But then again, it is awkward asking people to leave the place when I’m tired!  I get to choose the music or entertainment!  But if the guests are bored, then I’m at a loss.

So, you can see that I am ambivalent about whether to entertain or not.   How do you feel about it?
